Get to Know Me

Sarah Shimoff is gifted at matching clients with their dream homes and buyers. Sarah combines deep market knowledge and negotiating savvy with patience and warmth to help clients meet their goals. Since 2004, Sarah has thrived through 3 major market adjustments (2004-2008, 2009-2020, and pandemic-driven 2020-2023) and is highly skilled in helping clients navigate dynamic real estate markets. Since 2012, she has sold over $100 million in property in the Boston area. In a tight market, she is an effective advocate for both off-market and on-market properties. Sarah specializes in solving complex real estate issues and has been widely hailed for the high quality of her work. Her clients trust her because she prioritizes their needs and wishes.

Sarah is a problem-solver with a team of professionals that enable her to serve clients from pre-purchase through major renovations. She has helped clients break records in sales prices, raze and build homes, staged homes to increase their appeal and value, and found properties that were not for sale for clients where none of the properties on the market fit.

Sarah launched her career in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2004, during a record-breaking period of real estate growth. She was part of a team that sold properties totaling $100 million in three years. There Sarah specialized in selling multi-unit properties to a group of California investors. Her most notable sale was a 43- apartment building. At 26, she bought her first home in Las Vegas. Once happily ensconced back in her native Boston, Sarah launched her own real estate business.

Her talents stretch beyond the business of real estate. Sarah is a passionate advocate for her clients, encouraging them to think holistically about value, renovations, and time lines. Well-respected throughout the city for her reliability, honesty, charisma and candor, Sarah is connected with lenders, inspectors, attorneys, appraisers, brokers, interior designers, organizers, movers, and other housing professionals. Each client benefits from the breadth of her network.

Born and raised in the Boston area, Sarah understands the locations and the lifestyle each unique section of town and the suburbs provide. She has 19 years of experience in real estate and is herself a real estate investor, renovator, decorator and homeowner. She serves on the Diversity & Belonging Council in Watertown Public Schools and served on the board for The Colored Pencil Project, a Boston-based nonprofit organization that brought art supplies and self-expression workshops to over 10,000 children worldwide. Sarah lives just outside of Boston with her husband and daughter in a classic Queen Anne style Victorian home designed by Charles Brigham in 1881. She spends her time in art galleries and record stores, reading about women in art history, traveling, and is a regular at the MFA and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
